We’re sorry to say that there will be no “new” issue of Smoke Signals on the site this month. In a nutshell, when we evacuated due to the wildfires, we took all of our hard drives with us – and when we reinstalled them, there was a problem, and the November issue (which had been completed) was lost, with not enough time to rewrite it.
It’s the first time we’ve ever missed an issue – and we sincerely hope it will be the last. Thanks for your understanding!

We’ve been running this blog for well over a year, and never have posted anything off-topic.
Today, we’re unable to help ourselves….and are making an exception.
